What is Composio Connect?

Composio Connect is a consumer offering that lets anyone plug 1,500+ applications directly into their agent harness — including Hermes. It can:

  • Search and load tools from relevant toolkits on-demand, reducing context usage.
  • Chain multiple tools to accomplish complex workflows via a remote workbench, without excessive back-and-forth with the LLM.
  • Manage app authentication end-to-end with zero manual overhead.

Integrating ProductNow with Hermes

Using Composio Connect CLI

1. Install the Composio CLI

Run the install script directly, or paste https://composio.dev/hermes into your Hermes chat box to have it installed for you.

2. Authenticate

Once the CLI is installed, ask Hermes to authenticate with Composio.

3. Connect to ProductNow

Ask your agent to connect to ProductNow, or simply request any ProductNow-related task. Hermes will prompt you to authenticate and authorize access.

4. Done. You're all set with a new ProductNow connection.

Using Composio Connect MCP

1. Get your MCP URL and API Key

Go to dashboard.composio.dev and copy your Connect MCP URL and API key.

2. Open the Hermes config file

4. Restart your Hermes agent

Once restarted, ask your agent to connect to ProductNow or request any ProductNow-related task. It will prompt you to authenticate and authorize access.

The ProductNow MCP server is an implementation of the Model Context Protocol that connects your AI agent and assistants like Claude, Cursor, etc directly to your ProductNow account. It provides structured and secure access to your company's shared context, documents, folders, versions, comments, and media, so your agent can search company information, create and edit documents, organize folders and files, manage document status and feedback, and upload media on your behalf.

  • Company context search: Have your agent search shared documents, decisions, meeting notes, and synced company information, then return relevant excerpts with citations.
  • Document creation and editing: Direct your agent to create new documents with AI-generated content, edit existing documents, check editing status, and read documents you already have access to.
  • Document organization: Let the agent create folders when needed, move documents or folders, rename them, and archive items that are no longer active.
  • Review and version management: Instruct your agent to change document lifecycle status, add comments, reply to comment threads, and list earlier document versions when you need to understand what changed.
  • Company knowledge and media updates: Have your agent remember important information about your company, products, customers, or team, and upload image or video files to ProductNow storage.
