Frequently asked questions

Yes. The Hobby plan is hard-capped, needs no credit card, and never produces a surprise bill. You get 100K tool calls a month (up to 20K on Composio-managed apps), unlimited connections on your own apps, custom tools and MCP, and 3 team members. When you reach a cap, usage pauses until the next month or until you upgrade.

With your own app you connect your own OAuth application or API keys and get the full 100K free tool calls a month. Composio-managed apps are shared OAuth apps we run so you can skip setup. You get 20K of that 100K free, shared across all managed apps. After that, Pro pays per call at the rates listed under Composio-managed apps, and provider rate limits still apply. They work in production but are not built for production scale, so move to your own app before you scale.

Pro is $29 a month and includes usage credit that resets every month with no rollover. Past the included free amounts, overage bills on the rate card. You can set spend caps so you never get a surprise bill.

On Hobby, usage pauses at the cap with no charge until the next month or until you upgrade. On Pro, you keep running and pay overage, and spend caps let you set a ceiling.

With polling, Composio checks the provider on a schedule, even when nothing has changed. With realtime, the provider pushes each event to us. You still pay only for delivered events, never per poll. See how each type works.

Use Instant Tools without separate API keys or subscriptions. Provider charges come from your Composio balance with 0% markup. Regular tool-call charges apply. Rates may change. Add-ons can be usage-based charges or one-time charges. Some usage-based add-ons apply automatically based on how a call runs, such as direct execution outside a Session, proxy execution, or running in the sandbox. Others you enable for security or compliance, such as zero data retention and IP allowlisting. Advanced white-labeling is a one-time per-connection charge. BAA is a per-call compliance add-on on Pro, and Enterprise includes it.

On Pro, Firewall costs $0.50 credits per 1M tokens evaluated. Firewall is included on Enterprise. Sandbox LLM tokens cover model calls Composio runs for you in Sandbox.

Most calls are just the base tool-call rate, or the app's rate on Composio-managed apps past the free allowance. Usage-based add-ons are small extras that apply only when a call actually uses that capability, so you never pay for one you are not using. BAA is a per-call compliance add-on on Pro, and Enterprise includes it. For example, a call that runs in the sandbox adds a small sandbox amount, and a proxy-execute call is still one tool call at the base rate with a small proxy add-on on top. On Pro you can set spend caps for metered usage, so metered usage never goes past a ceiling you choose. One-time add-ons are separate.

Proxy execute is an escape hatch for calling an API endpoint we have not wrapped as a tool, or for advanced request options a standard tool cannot express. Composio still handles auth, so you never touch raw credentials. It is billed as one tool call at the base rate plus a small proxy add-on for the pass-through, not as two separate charges. On Composio-managed apps, the managed rate replaces the base rate. Learn more.
