What is Claude Cowork?

Claude Cowork is Anthropic's agent for general knowledge work. It can use your computer, files, and connected applications to complete longer-running tasks across your work tools.

With Composio Connect, Cowork can securely access apps like Memberstack through MCP without you sharing account credentials directly with the agent.

What is the Memberstack MCP server, and what's possible with it?

The Memberstack MCP server is an implementation of the Model Context Protocol that connects your AI agent and assistants like Claude, Cursor, etc directly to your Memberstack account. It provides structured and secure access to your member management system, so your agent can perform actions like creating members, updating profiles, managing plans, and retrieving membership data on your behalf.

  • Automated member creation and onboarding: Instantly add new users to your platform with customizable fields, plans, and metadata—no manual input needed.
  • Profile updates and member management: Let your agent update member details, modify custom fields, or change emails and metadata as your users grow or their needs change.
  • Membership plan handling: Effortlessly list available plans, assign plans to members, or remove free plans when subscriptions change.
  • Member lookup and insights: Retrieve individual member profiles by ID or email, or fetch a paginated list of all your members for deeper analysis and automation.
  • Secure member deletion: Ensure compliance and data hygiene by directing your agent to safely delete members who no longer require access.

FAQ

What are the differences in Tool Router MCP and Memberstack MCP?

With a standalone Memberstack MCP server, the agents and LLMs can only access a fixed set of Memberstack tools tied to that server. However, with the Composio Tool Router, agents can dynamically load tools from Memberstack and many other apps based on the task at hand, all through a single MCP endpoint.

Can I use Tool Router MCP with Claude Cowork?

Yes, you can. Claude Cowork fully supports MCP integration. You get structured tool calling, message history handling, and model orchestration while Tool Router takes care of discovering and serving the right Memberstack tools.

Can I manage the permissions and scopes for Memberstack while using Tool Router?

Yes, absolutely. You can configure which Memberstack scopes and actions are allowed when connecting your account to Composio. You can also bring your own OAuth credentials or API configuration so you keep full control over what the agent can do.

How safe is my data with Composio Tool Router?

All sensitive data such as tokens, keys, and configuration is fully encrypted at rest and in transit. Composio is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and follows strict security practices so your Memberstack data and credentials are handled as safely as possible.
