What is Claude Cowork?

Claude Cowork is Anthropic's agent for general knowledge work. It can use your computer, files, and connected applications to complete longer-running tasks across your work tools.

With Composio Connect, Cowork can securely access apps like Workiom through MCP without you sharing account credentials directly with the agent.

What is the Workiom MCP server, and what's possible with it?

The Workiom MCP server is an implementation of the Model Context Protocol that connects your AI agent and assistants like Claude, Cursor, etc directly to your Workiom account. It provides structured and secure access to your Workiom workspace, so your agent can perform actions like listing your databases, creating new workflow records, and retrieving business data automatically.

  • List and explore Workiom databases: Instantly fetch and review all lists in your workspace, making it easy to discover and reference your business data structures.
  • Automate record creation: Direct your agent to add new records to any list, capturing details like text, numbers, dates, and static fields for streamlined workflows and reduced manual entry.
  • Retrieve and filter records: Effortlessly pull relevant records from specific lists, with support for filtering, sorting, and pagination to quickly surface the data you need.
  • Workspace structure insights: Get field definitions and metadata for lists, so your agent can understand data models and populate records accurately.

FAQ

What are the differences in Tool Router MCP and Workiom MCP?

With a standalone Workiom MCP server, the agents and LLMs can only access a fixed set of Workiom tools tied to that server. However, with the Composio Tool Router, agents can dynamically load tools from Workiom and many other apps based on the task at hand, all through a single MCP endpoint.

Can I use Tool Router MCP with Claude Cowork?

Yes, you can. Claude Cowork fully supports MCP integration. You get structured tool calling, message history handling, and model orchestration while Tool Router takes care of discovering and serving the right Workiom tools.

Can I manage the permissions and scopes for Workiom while using Tool Router?

Yes, absolutely. You can configure which Workiom scopes and actions are allowed when connecting your account to Composio. You can also bring your own OAuth credentials or API configuration so you keep full control over what the agent can do.

How safe is my data with Composio Tool Router?

All sensitive data such as tokens, keys, and configuration is fully encrypted at rest and in transit. Composio is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and follows strict security practices so your Workiom data and credentials are handled as safely as possible.
