What is Composio Connect?

Composio Connect is a consumer offering that lets anyone plug 1,500+ applications directly into their agent harness — including Hermes. It can:

  • Search and load tools from relevant toolkits on-demand, reducing context usage.
  • Chain multiple tools to accomplish complex workflows via a remote workbench, without excessive back-and-forth with the LLM.
  • Manage app authentication end-to-end with zero manual overhead.

Integrating Peerdom with Hermes

Using Composio Connect CLI

1. Install the Composio CLI

Run the install script directly, or paste https://composio.dev/hermes into your Hermes chat box to have it installed for you.

2. Authenticate

Once the CLI is installed, ask Hermes to authenticate with Composio.

3. Connect to Peerdom

Ask your agent to connect to Peerdom, or simply request any Peerdom-related task. Hermes will prompt you to authenticate and authorize access.

4. Done. You're all set with a new Peerdom connection.

Using Composio Connect MCP

1. Get your MCP URL and API Key

Go to dashboard.composio.dev and copy your Connect MCP URL and API key.

2. Open the Hermes config file

Save with Ctrl + O, Enter, then exit with Ctrl + X.

4. Restart your Hermes agent

Once restarted, ask your agent to connect to Peerdom or request any Peerdom-related task. It will prompt you to authenticate and authorize access.

What is the Peerdom MCP server, and what's possible with it?

The Peerdom MCP server is an implementation of the Model Context Protocol that connects your AI agent and assistants like Claude, Cursor, etc directly to your Peerdom account. It provides structured and secure access to your organization, maps, groups, roles, people, and custom fields, so your agent can review your structure, create and update groups, manage roles, maintain people records, and assign role holders on your behalf.

  • Organization and map overview: Have your agent review your organization’s maps and current structure before making changes.
  • Group management: Direct your agent to list, create, update, or delete groups across your organization.
  • Role management: Let the agent find, create, update, or delete roles within the appropriate groups.
  • People and role assignments: Instruct your agent to create, update, or deactivate people records, then assign, revise, or remove their role assignments.
  • Custom field administration: Have your agent review, create, rename, update, or delete custom fields used for groups, roles, and people.

Way Forward

With Peerdom connected, Hermes can now act on your behalf whenever it detects a relevant task or you ask it to.

From here, you can extend Hermes further:

  • Connect more apps: Calendar, Slack, Notion, Linear, and hundreds of others are available through the same Composio Connect setup. Each new integration compounds what Hermes can do for you.
  • Build workflows across tools: Once multiple apps are connected, Hermes can chain actions together — turn an email into a calendar invite, a Slack message into a Linear ticket, or a meeting note into a follow-up draft.
  • Let it learn your patterns: The more you use Hermes, the better it gets at anticipating how you'd handle recurring tasks. Give it feedback on drafts and decisions, and it will adapt.

Create one custom-field definition that controls a named field's owner, type, multiplicity, order, and visibility.

Create Group

Create a group from an existing parent-group anchor on a map.

Create an email-free person record in the organization; this tool deliberately cannot provision a Peerdom login account.

Create Role

Create a role under a parent group on a map using core role fields that do not require Peerdom's Contribution or Goals apps.

Deactivate Peer

Mark a peer as former.

Permanently delete a custom-field definition.

Permanently delete one group after reading it to block accidental root-group deletion.

Delete Role

Delete one role by ID and return the deleted role for confirmation.

List custom-field definitions or return one definition by ID so agents can use the organization's real field names and value types.

Get Groups

List organization groups or return one group by ID, with optional map and peer filters and optional custom-field-value expansion.

Get Organization Context

Unassign Role Holder

Remove one peer's assignment from one role without deleting either the peer or the role.

Update Custom Field Definition

Rename a custom-field definition and its custom-field API key, or update its labels, display order, or public visibility without changing its value type or owner.

Update Group

Update selected group properties such as name, parent, external state, color, shape, or custom fields.

Update Peer

Update selected profile fields on an existing peer; omitted fields remain unchanged despite the provider using PUT.

Update Role

Update selected core role properties without changing Contribution- or Goals-specific settings.

Assign Or Update Role Holder

Ensure a peer holds a role, creating the assignment when absent or updating its percentage, focus, and elected-until date when present.
