OpenTag and OpenBot are open-source templates from CopilotKit for building agents that work in Slack and Microsoft Teams, or on their own computers.
What it does
OpenTag is a self-hostable knowledge-work agent for Slack and Microsoft Teams, built with AG-UI. It analyzes files, researches with citations, and pauses for approval before writing to connected apps. OpenBot gives AI coworkers isolated computers with browsers, files, and tools. Its gateway checks each action against a policy and records the decision in an audit log. Composio is an optional integration in both projects. OpenTag supports shared or per-person accounts; OpenBot lets admins enable apps and grant them to specific bots.
What Composio powers
Composio provides connected-app tools for OpenTag and OpenBot. OpenTag's documented setup includes Gmail, Google Calendar, and Linear. Users connect shared or personal accounts, while approvals and policy checks control actions.
- Configure Composio in OpenTag or enable its plugin in OpenBot.
