Release

Tavily is now available on Composio Instant, with support for web search and content extraction. You can use it from a Composio-connected agent without creating a separate Tavily account, managing a Tavily API key, or arranging a separate Tavily subscription. Calls are paid per use from your Composio wallet.

Start with a question like, “What is the latest news for AI agents?” Answering it takes more than finding headlines. A useful brief needs the announcements behind those headlines and enough detail to explain what changed. Tavily's Search and Extract tools give your agent a way to find that material and read the relevant pages.

Search for the news and read the announcement

The two Tavily actions currently supported by Instant are Search and Extract. Search returns relevant web results, including titles, URLs, and content. Extract retrieves content from URLs you provide.

For an AI news brief, the agent can use Search to locate announcements and then Extract to retrieve the pages it needs for the summary. A result might point to a new agent framework release; the announcement could explain which capabilities shipped, how to access them, and what remains in preview.

Instead of a headline alone, you can ask for the change, the details that matter to developers, and a link to the original announcement. Check the linked sources before relying on the brief, especially where availability or limitations affect your plans.

One request from question to brief

Try a prompt like this:

“Use Tavily to find this week's news about AI agents. Find original announcements and read the relevant pages. Draft a short brief with a section for each announcement: what changed, why a developer might care, and a source link. Include the announcement date and flag anything you could not verify.”

The intended flow is Search, Extract, then a sourced answer in your existing agent conversation. The output could become the starting point for a team discussion about a new framework or a shortlist of releases worth testing. You can follow up in the same conversation to ask about one release’s setup requirements and review the linked sources.

Get started

If you are building with Composio, enable Instant Toolkits in your project settings and check your organization's prepaid balance. Your session policies determine which eligible tools the agent can use. The Instant documentation covers setup and controls, and the Tavily toolkit page identifies the supported actions.

For your next research task, ask your Composio-connected agent to use Tavily.
