Karan skipped his own birthday party to fix our critical issue. It was 10 pm and he diverted his Waymo to help us instead. This really sets the bar, shows you the commitment you need to have when users rely on your software.

About Slashy

Slashy is building an AI-powered email twin that learns how you write and replies on your behalf. The product relies on Gmail connectivity and smooth onboarding, and the team wanted a clean user experience from day one. They were preparing for a Product Hunt launch and needed a reliable integration layer that would not slow them down.

The Challenge

While getting ready for the Product Hunt launch, the team discovered a significant limitation in their in-house integration. Without the Google certification, they could support only about 100 users. Building secure OAuth and token-refresh logic, and a compliant setup, would take far longer than they had.

They needed something that worked immediately, could scale, and would not add more engineering work just days before launch.

Finding the Right Integration Platform

Before choosing Composio, Slashy evaluated other integration platforms. Paragon was one of them. It offered decent coverage but used a per-user pricing model that did not align with Slashy’s early-stage growth. The setup also required additional steps that slowed the team and did not align with the launch deadline.

For a team that needed to move fast, Paragon felt heavier, more expensive, and more complicated to adopt on short notice.

Choosing Composio

Composio offered a setup experience that fit the pressure they were under. They plugged it in, tested the end-to-end flow, and had it working with their product in about an hour. They did not need to rebuild anything or rework their architecture.

What stood out to them

  • A working Gmail integration in about an hour

  • No custom OAuth or token handling

  • No certification roadblocks

  • Pricing that made sense

  • A stable and predictable foundation for launch

“We set up Composio in an hour and were sure there had to be a catch because it cannot be this simple. Working with integration providers is usually far more complicated. We scaled to thousands of users overnight with Composio and nothing broke.”

The Outcome

Slashy launched on Product Hunt on schedule, became an instant hit and onboarded thousands of users the same night. Their integration layer stayed stable throughout the spike. The team did not need any patching or emergency fixes during the rush.

No upkeep needed

We launched on Product Hunt, woke up the next morning, and we were number one. We thought things would break because we couldn’t handle more than a hundred users on our own stack, but everything kept working.

What this enabled

Slashy kept shipping product and improving their email AI without getting pulled into integration work. They moved faster, launched with confidence, and handled real scale from day one. Since then, they’ve expanded their integration stack to Google Calendar, Drive, Docs, HubSpot, Notion, and more, giving their AI digital twin a richer, unified context to work with.
