## Introduction

Atomic Agent is an open-source AI agent that runs on your machine and supports local models through llama.cpp. Connect it to 1,500+ apps through Composio, including HighLevel Agency.
This guide uses Atomic Agent's built-in Composio integration. You need Atomic Agent v0.5.6 or later, your own Composio API key, and a HighLevel Agency account. See the [Atomic Agent documentation](https://atomicagent.io/docs/?cta_placement=atomic-agent-docs) for installation instructions.

## Also integrate HighLevel Agency with

- [ChatGPT](https://composio.dev/toolkits/highlevel_agency/framework/chatgpt)
- [Claude Cowork](https://composio.dev/toolkits/highlevel_agency/framework/claude-cowork)
- [Hermes](https://composio.dev/toolkits/highlevel_agency/framework/hermes-agent)

## TL;DR

### How Atomic Agent connects to HighLevel Agency
Atomic Agent connects to Composio's Tool Router over Streamable HTTP MCP. It discovers the tools needed for your request, and Composio handles account authentication.
Execution and account-connection tools follow Atomic Agent's configured approval policy. Review any approval prompt before allowing an action on your connected account.

## Connect HighLevel Agency to Atomic Agent

### Connect HighLevel Agency to Atomic Agent
- Sign up or sign in to the [Composio dashboard](https://dashboard.composio.dev/?cta_placement=atomic-agent-api-key). Copy your API key.
- In Atomic Agent, open the Integrations tab and select Composio. Select API key, press e, paste the key, and press Enter. The tools become available immediately, without a restart.
- Ask Atomic Agent to do something in HighLevel Agency. It searches Composio for the right tool.
- On first use, open the sign-in link returned in the chat. Connect your HighLevel Agency account, then return to Atomic Agent to continue.
### Headless setup
Add the following line to ~/.atomic-agent/.env, replacing YOUR_COMPOSIO_API_KEY with your key. Start Atomic Agent after saving the file.

```bash
COMPOSIO_API_KEY=YOUR_COMPOSIO_API_KEY
```

## What is the HighLevel Agency MCP server, and what's possible with it?

The HighLevel Agency MCP server is an implementation of the Model Context Protocol that connects your AI agent and assistants like Claude, Cursor, etc directly to your HighLevel Agency account. It provides structured and secure access to agency company data, users, custom menus, snapshots, and installation details, so your agent can manage agency users, organize custom menus, review snapshots, and track snapshot pushes on your behalf.
- Agency user management: Have your agent find, search, review, update, or delete agency users while preserving their existing access settings.
- Custom menu control: Let the agent create, view, update, list, and delete agency-only custom menu links.
- Snapshot management: Direct your agent to list agency snapshots, create share links for them, and review how snapshots are being pushed to sub-accounts.
- Snapshot push tracking: Instruct your agent to check the latest push status for a sub-account or list snapshot pushes within a selected date range.
- Agency and installation details: Have your agent retrieve the agency company profile, plan summary, and details about the OAuth installation and Marketplace plan.

## Supported Tools

| Tool slug | Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_CREATE_CUSTOM_MENU` | Create Custom Menu | Create an agency-only custom menu link that is never shown in sub-accounts. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_CREATE_SNAPSHOT_SHARE_LINK` | Create Snapshot Share Link | Create an externally usable share link for a snapshot belonging to a HighLevel agency/company ID, never a location ID. Location-restricted links are not supported. HighLevel exposes no API to revoke a created snapshot share link. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_DELETE_CUSTOM_MENU` | Delete Custom Menu | Permanently delete one agency custom menu link by its ID. A newly created menu may take a few seconds to become deletable; retry after a short delay if HighLevel initially reports that its ID does not exist. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_DELETE_USER` | Delete Agency User | Queue permanent deletion of an agency user by ID. A successful response confirms that HighLevel queued the request, not that deletion has completed. HighLevel does not allow the agency owner to be deleted. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_FIND_USERS_BY_EMAIL` | Find Agency Users by Email | Return one page of agency users matching an exact batch of email addresses, including deleted users when requested, for a HighLevel agency/company ID, never a location ID. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_GET_COMPANY` | Get Company | Return a HighLevel agency's company profile and plan summary using its agency/company ID, never a location ID. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_GET_CUSTOM_MENU` | Get Custom Menu | Return one agency custom menu link by its ID. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_GET_INSTALLER_DETAILS` | Get Installer Details | Return agency, installer, and Marketplace plan details for this OAuth installation using the Marketplace OAuth App ID stored in the auth config. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_GET_LATEST_SNAPSHOT_PUSH_BY_LOCATION` | Get Last Snapshot Push | Return the latest push status and asset progress for an agency snapshot at one target HighLevel sub-account. location_id selects the sub-account for reporting and is not a Location OAuth credential; the connection remains Agency OAuth. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_GET_USER` | Get Agency User | Return one agency user's profile, role, permissions, and scopes by user ID. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_LIST_CUSTOM_MENUS` | List Custom Menus | Return one page of agency-visible custom menu links, optionally filtered by title text. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_LIST_SNAPSHOT_PUSHES` | List Snapshot Pushes | Return one page of sub-account push statuses for an agency snapshot within an ISO 8601 date range. Continue manually by passing a returned record ID as last_doc. The company_id is a HighLevel agency/company ID, never a location ID. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_LIST_SNAPSHOTS` | List Snapshots | Return all owned and imported snapshots for a HighLevel agency/company ID, never a location ID. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_SEARCH_USERS` | Search Agency Users | Return one page of agency users matching name, email, phone, role, IDs, or sync filters for a HighLevel agency/company ID, never a location ID. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_UPDATE_CUSTOM_MENU` | Update Custom Menu | Update selected fields of an agency custom menu while preserving omitted fields and keeping all sub-account visibility disabled. |
| `HIGHLEVEL_AGENCY_UPDATE_USER_PROFILE` | Update Agency User Profile | Update an agency user's name, phone, profile photo, or language without changing company, location access, permissions, scopes, email, or password. HighLevel does not allow the agency owner's profile to be modified. The company_id is a HighLevel agency/company ID, never a location ID. |

## Troubleshooting

### Why is my API key rejected?

Copy the key directly from the Composio dashboard. Atomic Agent requires ASCII characters because it sends the key in an HTTP header. Remove any extra characters introduced when copying.

### Why are Composio tools unavailable after saving a key?

Check that you use Atomic Agent v0.5.6 or later and that Composio is enabled in your configuration. A "composio": { "enabled": false } setting disables the integration while keeping the saved key on disk.

### Does Composio have a free plan?

The Hobby plan includes 100,000 tool calls per month. Composio-managed OAuth apps have a lower included allowance. See [Composio pricing](/pricing) for the current limits that apply to your connection.

## Complete Code

## Conclusion

### Use HighLevel Agency from Atomic Agent
With your account connected, ask Atomic Agent to work with HighLevel Agency in natural language. You can connect more apps through the same Composio integration as you need them.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### What are the differences in Tool Router MCP and HighLevel Agency MCP?

With a standalone HighLevel Agency MCP server, the agents and LLMs can only access a fixed set of HighLevel Agency tools tied to that server. However, with the Composio Tool Router, agents can dynamically load tools from HighLevel Agency and many other apps based on the task at hand, all through a single MCP endpoint.

### Can I use Tool Router MCP with Atomic Agent?

Yes, you can. Atomic Agent fully supports MCP integration. You get structured tool calling, message history handling, and model orchestration while Tool Router takes care of discovering and serving the right HighLevel Agency tools.

### Can I manage the permissions and scopes for HighLevel Agency while using Tool Router?

Yes, absolutely. You can configure which HighLevel Agency scopes and actions are allowed when connecting your account to Composio. You can also bring your own OAuth credentials or API configuration so you keep full control over what the agent can do.

### How safe is my data with Composio Tool Router?

All sensitive data such as tokens, keys, and configuration is fully encrypted at rest and in transit. Composio is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and follows strict security practices so your HighLevel Agency data and credentials are handled as safely as possible.
